Fugawi
Marine ENC Ver. 4, is marine navigation software, which supports
a wide variety of free-of-charge and commercial charts, including
NOAA ENC vector charts for US waters, Fugawi
Map of America, Fugawi
Canada Maps, Softchart, BSB format charts (MAPTECH®, NDI
DigitalOcean®), ECW, GeoTiff or any scanned and referenced paper
map. Fugawi Marine ENC Ver. 4 includes PDA editions for Pocket PC
and Palm.

Marine ENC Ver. 4 replaces Fugawi Marine ENC Ver. 3.
New
to Fugawi Marine ENC Ver. 4:
- 3D
map viewing. Allows one to see a "ships-eye" view
of the land using any NOAA ENC®, BSB, or Softchart nautical
chart as well as other Fugawi supported raster charts. The 3D
window provides added interpretation when navigating in coastal
waters.
- See
detailed streets and place names directly on top of ENC or other
nautical charts. Get enhanced onshore detail from your ENC
or BSB chart by overlaying streets and place names.
- AIS
- Automatic Identification System Plug
in a third party AIS radio receiver to view commercial vessel
traffic directly on top of your ENC or other chart.
- Marine
Services - Toggle on/off a layer of over 25,000 marine-related
points of interest (POIs) from the integrated MPC
Boaters Directory: the most comprehensive directory of marine
businesses in the USA.
- Enhanced
and simplified installation, menus and chart management. Fugawi
Marine ENC Ver. 4 has been dramatically improved to make software
and chart installation a breeze. A refreshingly new and simplified
menu structure makes the program more intuitive for new users.
An easier to use Map Library helps to keep your maps and charts
organized.
- Supports
NOAA ENC chart updates. Applies the NOAA chart update files
(.001, .002, etc.).
- New
PDA Edition for Pocket PC and Palm (OS 5 or greater). Adds
UTM or Lat/Long position viewing, enhanced route creation, and
numerical editing of waypoints to the existing features.
- Lastly,
Fugawi Marine ENC Ver. 4 contains all of the features that made
its predecessor famous such as point and click route creation,
GPS data transfer, on-screen real-time GPS tracking, map printing,
street overlay, Geocaching support and much more.
